Question 1 (General):

I know that we can create custom weapons/armor or have others create it for us, for a price. If there are no weapon or armor smiths, are there available NPCs for custom weapon/armor creation?

Question 2 (General):

If we create custom weapons/armor, can we keep the same weapon and just improve them (raised their level, make minor aesthetic revisions, etc.)?

Are butterfly knives allowed (under Daggers)? Such as this one.

Question 2 (Specific):

Are dual-bladed daggers allowed? Such as this one.

Question 3 (Specific):

Are multi-bladed daggers allowed? Such as this one, or this one.

1. But there are weapon/armoursmiths. o.o There are no NPCs currently that can smith at this time, and I doubt that there will be. My reasoning being simple; though we have equip drops, we still need to find a way for crafters to have some kind of meaning.
That being said, if sometime in the future there is a need for these NPC crafters, then most certainly we will change the system to adapt. Have you been finding that there's a lack of crafters that can do things? Are you having trouble with crafters keeping up with your level of proficiency with armour or weapons?

2. Weapon improvement will be something that will be coming with a future patch. Currently as f right now, I have it set in my mind that crafters will be able to make weapon/armour 'kits'. These 'kits' when applied can upgrade ONE piece of equipment per kit. Also, this piece of equipment cannot be upgraded more then once. The reason for this being that we want to keep a balance; again, we want crafters to still have something to do and to have meaning. These kits will be low-materials to make, fitting of their one-time use.

2. Yes, that type of double-bladed dagger is allowed (it's essentially a single dagger, just a different asthetic style...)
3. As of right now, I am heavily leaning towards no; not until we've examined exactly what the multi-dagger can do. We want to make great care that we don't step too close to dual blade territory, considering the canon. However, I can add that to the list of things to discuss with the staff.

1. I asked just in case there are no crafters/they are inactive. I have not asked around enough (those whom I asked were not crafters). Player crafters are definitely better. I imagine NPC crafters would have some steep price, demands or penalty compared to players.

2. Kits would be nice and it could be a source of income all the same. Can the crafters improve the weapons that they created (not by kit usage but by recrafting the weapon)? Probably yes but I didn't look into this even in the other site.

3. Thought so. Better keep the system simple for now, it's good as it is.

I took daggers and hope to gain the Throwing skill. Chakrams were mentioned in the description so this is related to my third question: How about Tira's chakram? From Soul Calibur 3. It's not really a throwing weapon, and the damage isn't heavy so it won't classify as a heavy blade. And: How do we gain chakrams? (the small ones for throwing, not Tira-type) Can they be crafted or bought from a shop?

[style= border-left: 3px solid#111111; padding: 10px] 1. Oh yes. Most likely. However, I don't see it becoming a huge issue either. Worst case scenario, go to some of the player shops; they're more then happy to help people out.

2. At this time, crafters cannot recraft their weapons, simply because 'recrafting' to me says that the weapon is one of the materials. We were also hoping through time that players would want to sell their previous weapons to other players or even gift them, so that all players have some help moving to the top. However, you can craft a weapon that is practically a clone of the old one. You'll just need to use the materials listed for that level of weapon.

Chakrams can be crafted by players at this time, any weaponsmith. Daggers would be the category for both the melee use of chakrams and the ranged use of chakrams.
