<<HISTORY>>

Ivan was born to a moderately wealthy family in Moscow. His father a Japanese archaeologist and his mother the owner of a small ballet studio and theater. When he was younger, his father was never around very much. He was often at the studio in which he lived very close to.

When he wasn't in school, he spent much of his time there. He was taken in wholeheartedly by his "sisters", the girls who were part of his mother's theater. Over a few years they drilled into him the basics of ballet and acrobatics as well how how to be quite the ladies man despite his young age. He never managed to outgrow the fashion sense that his sisters instilled on him.

Shortly before he turned 11, his mother passed away suddenly passed away in a car accident. With no real relatives to speak of in Russia it fell upon his father to take care of him. With the ballet theater sold, he was shipped off to his father working hard at a dig site in japan.

Despite his father being able to speak fluent Russian, Ivan had only picked up a fleeting understanding of japanese as a child. It wasn't enough for him to get by in the japanese school system and his father moved around too much for him to stay in one for long regardless. So his father decided to school him at home/on the road.

Schoolwork however came second to his father's work which he was completely dedicated to. Ivan took an interest to archaeology, history and as his father called it, Treasure Hunting.With this he began to devote more of his studies to japanese history as well as the language. He only ended up formally attending a high school a year, just enough his father told him to get a recommendation and to get into a college.

After studying archaeology for four years at a japanese university, Ivan officially joined his father's research team. Ivan has been working a few years with his father with helping to catalog and restore a feudal era japanese castle.

The first heavy snows of the season came very early, and work was called off a few weeks ahead of schedule at the site. Ivan kept up with japanese video games and often played them, though those more of the portable variety due to his lifestyle. With a little bit of luck, he'd obtained a copy of SAO, hoping to put the unexpected vacation to some good use.

Yuri holds his dagger to his side until it glows a burning orange. He then hurls it at his enemy. As it leaves his hand, flames emerge from the dagger and it takes on the appearance of a Phoenix before striking the enemy. The Phoenix rakes the target with it's talons causing 2 strikes before disappearing.

2 Strikes, 1 Special, 50% Speed, 100% Power

Yuri holds his dagger at an angle in front of him until it glows a burning orange. He then spins, releasing a halo of flames and causing his dagger to have a burning effect for a few moments. The flames wheel creates spokes that hit the enemy with a pilar of fire that shoots out. The spinning attack can hit up to 3 enemies twice.
