Aurellia<<NAME>>Clive Deas<<AGE>>15<<GENDER>>Male<<NATIONALITY>>European<<APPEARANCE>>Aurellia<<PERSONALITY>>Positive Traits:
Open Minded
Clive spent part of his life close-minded, but began to open his mind more after he realized he'd never meet his parent's expectations. With that weight lifted, he began to look at everything with a better view on life. He'll try anything at least once.
Helpful
Clive likes being helpful, even if people at first don't really accept that he's trying.
Negative Traits:
Overprotective
Clive spent so much time bullying his older brother, that he has a problem with people saying anything bad about the one he's trying protect now. He's quick to step up to defend Erik, even if it's a foolish situation.
Envious
Clive can be jealous of other people's accomplishments, especially if he's tried to do it and failed. This leads to him forming grudges and attempting things over and over again, even if it's a bad idea to try.<<HISTORY>>Clive is the youngest brother of two in this English household. He was born two years after his brother, Erik. He was always looking up to his brother, as his brother always had really good grades. His brother was the one his parents were always aiming for to go to big name colleges, so Clive had to try double hard to try and get attention from his parents. This led to Clive bullying his brother out of jealousy for a portion of their childhood. Clive grew to be bigger than Erik, trying to use his size in his favor. Their parents constantly punished him for being mean to his older brother and when he hit middle school, he grew out of hating his older brother.
Clive came to realize that there were things he'd never be able to get his older brother to forgive, and that he was most of the reason that Erik became a shut-in. It took him several years to get the trust from his brother back. After this hard trial, Clive began to brighen up and look at things from other perspectives. He stopped trying to live up to his parent's expectations, and focused on family itself. His joining of sports had also taught him where he really belonged, playing Rugby and enjoying the teamwork. There were several times where Clive noticed Erik being bullied, and started fights in the courtyard of school. Clive would end up with several bumps and bruises, but he felt this was worth it to redeem himself from the hate he'd pushed on his brother.
Clive started to notice that his brother was getting into online games more and more after his studies and began to watch games over his shoulder, albeit silently. His brother was an excellent tactician in things like RTS games, and MMORPG's. He was constantly getting into beta tests for games Clive could never dream of getting into. This habit started to die after the invention of the NerveGear. Clive came to watch his brother one afternoon and had noticed that his brother was lying down with a helmet on his head. He was sure this was one of thos virtual reality things, and after looking at the name on the Beta box, he searched it online.
Clive became very interested in the game, thinking this would be something he could join his brother in. If the game would come out for real, he could try and beg his parents for something like this for christmas, or his saved allowance. Clive spent a lot of months doing extra chores and mowing lawns around the neighborhood to make the money it would require to purchase the NerveGear for the release of SAO.
Clive spent his money to pre-order the combo, and when it hit live, he jumped straight to playing the game. He never told his brother what all the chores were, and thought he could obviously get his brother to party with him if he just made a female avatar. It was super excited to think he would be playing, finally, a game his brother wouldn't get frustrated at him with.
Clive spent a good bit of his time trying to figure out the combat system and finding his brother, assuming he'd be using a name he normally used in on line gaming. He decided to pick skills that might compliment a character that his brother made. Carpentry seemed like a market he could corner, like his brother did in other MMO, so after that, he tried to go for decent damaging abilities. Being that he never carried a sword in real life, he found the two handed swords to be quite cumbersome.
While fighting in the field, he was suddenly teleported to The Town of Beginnings and grew rather confused. He looked at his inventory, knowing he didn't use his teleport crystal at all. That's when it happened. The sky grew a violent, sickening red, and the announcement hit.
Clive stood there dumbfounded, visualizing the imagery that if they died here in a virtual game of which he had barely any experience in, they'd die for real. He just ran. He couldn't think. Dashing through people, bumping in between others, he fled, trying to get as far away as possible, hoping he'd bump into his brother somewhere down the line. He hoped he'd have the skill to carry on in this virtual madness, because it was obvious that the female trick wasn't going to work now.SKILLS
