Red grips the hilt of his sheathed weapon, pulling it from it’s sheathed position and arcing it in whichever direction it's cutting edge can contact. A red and black light illuminates the air as the attack finishes, either holding the weapon and going in an offensive/defensive stance, or sheathing it.

Boosting his speed exponentially he rushes forward and swings his sword in a direction and location of his choosing, leaving a black and red streak.

Redd was born into a normal family, everything normal. A sister, a mother, a father. Nothing wes out of the ordinary. As he grew up, he found out that normalcy was boring, and plain. Everyone had cool stories, his father had a normal job, as a bank teller. There was nothing to be said to his friends, no cool story, no show and tell. He was just there, existing to live in the normal way. He came to detest anything that seemed like his life, and tried his hardest to escape into games, even by nine years old, he had already built his own computer, and played many MMOs.

Redd spent his time trying to make adventures and escape from his plain life. He had moved quite a few times, and progressively gotten more excitement and change, but everything always went back to it's normalcy, and with that, there wasn't enough spice for Redd. So Redd found fascination with the Japanese culture, and their MMOs, but even with that... Redd needed a change, and to find that change he went to the full-dive system. It helped a bit, but there was no real support for it. Until Sword Art Online came out, and by that point he was old enough to make his own decisions. So as soon as it released, he was among the lucky few who got themselves a copy.

Redd upon finding himself trapped in this virtual reality was relieved. He didn't want to go back, the mere hours he played around with the game had caused more fun and excitement than any amount of time in the real world. Finally, he had his excitement, his change. The fear of dying was all so clear, but at the same time... It didn't matter to him. Death would just be another experience that changed his ever so normal life, and for such a negative outlook, it kept him motivated to keep going, but winning the game? That wasn't something he wanted at all, and is totally against it.
