[classy=title]PERSONALITY[/classy] “Always be appreciative for the small things in life that come towards you.” - Chiba LeBeau |
The world is seen in a bright and angelic way by him. Even though it is corrupt and ugly with people dying around him. He doesn’t mind, it doesn’t change the way that he looks upon it. But he is blunt[/color] when it comes to the assumption that SAO will eventually even change that childish aspect of his personality. Even so, he isn’t trying to let the world get to him and would rather stay with his childish nature than change drastically. Simon realizes that the truth hurts and that many people in the world are becoming corrupt. No law. No enforcing of rules. It is like the slums all over again. And as he watches from the shadow as man becomes beast and blood is splattered upon the ground, the sound of shattering crystals he turns his eyes away and wishes silently he heard nothing. This is the same way it was whenever he was at school. They’d talk bad about him, downsize him but he’d put his hands over his ears and hum while walking on his way. Yes, he would appear weird and quite unnatural but it was the only way that he could save himself from utter self-destruction. Self-destruction, no one can see on the outside but Simon truly does hate himself being self-loathing[/color] has it perks. He doesn’t expect much out of himself and yet he wants to succeed. He wants to ‘survive’.
But it isn’t for his sake, it is for the sake of those around him. He is appreciative towards those around him who have helped him with his life thus far. He has acquired quite the gentle heart and it is quite unlikely for him to turn against his teachings and become something like a PKer. Simon loves those around him and appreciates them for being who they are as individuals. He is a gentle-hearted creature who is warm to anything that he can reach out and touch, even if he can no longer see it. Even though he is quite gentle, there are still moments where Simon can be detached[/color] from the world often staring off into space. Only to look towards someone and acknowledge them; whenever this happens he is often struck by a moment of curiosity or he is encountered by something that causes him to flicker into a deep emotional state of thought.
When he is like this, his words may often come out cruel and harsh. But Simon doesn’t mean any harm, he is only trying to be truthful. Trying to tell the truth and be honest like any other respectable child his age. He can be very vague[/b] and kept in about certain subjects that he isn’t willing to share with those around him only for the sake of keeping his own sanity. There are things in his life that he would rather keep to himself so that he would be able to keep a piece of him that the world hasn’t already taken. Simon is intelligent not only in booksmarts but also street smarts, often he is quick on his feet and makes haste to weave out of horrid situations if they arise. He reads a lot and takes interest in even the smallest thing, even if they are nothing more than data and code. He takes interest in them and comes to ‘understand’ them. He is understanding and big-hearted able to open his hands to someone in need. Though he doesn’t forget harmful situations, he is willing to let people into his heart even with the prospect that they may hurt him.
Having an eidetic memory comes in handy though since he won’t a face, a name, and an action that someone commits. But Simon is willing to forgive for the sake of friendship and man-kind he is willing to forgive heinous acts upon one’s person. Though there is a line for most people, Simon’s line is far off and he’s willing to extend it for a friend. He can be stubborn though when it comes to certain things. Even to the point where he will disobey to carry out what he believes is right. His actions are unpredictable and no one can really anticipate what he will do next. There are times where he can be quite carefree and rush into things without really thinking about it and he is quite unpunctual, usually stopping to stare at things before realizing that he is actually late. All in all, Simon LeBeau is quite the character.[/blockquote][/blockquote]
[classy=title]HISTORY[/classy]
►DESCRIBE YOUR CHILDHOOD:
Little mister Simon LeBeau -- was he born in a fancy house with a lavish lifestyle and a beautiful childhood? Or maybe he was born in a poor district and rose out of it because of his good looks and talents? Both of them accusations are terribly wrong. Simon LeBeau, the youngest out of eight other children was the baby of the family and born in the slums of Shibuya. Out of all of his siblings, he was the one who stayed around the longest. May it have been out of guilt or good will, no one really knows his intentions in staying with his family and bringing them along with him as he climbed the social ladder at a young age. Back-tracking, it all started when Simon LeBeau was born on April 6th, XXXX to a Miss Anrietta LeBeau and Sora Hanekawa. The two of them were quite poor, Sora being a salary man was barely bringing anything to the table and Anrietta had to try her hardest to afford feeding all of their children. Simon’s eight siblings were -- Kohaku, Natsu, Eri, Chika, Daichi, Ran, Yuki and Nana. They were all blessed looking alike but with very different personalities and traits.
Simon’s life as a baby wasn’t a very prosperous one. He wasn’t showered with love and affection but instead left to curiosity. He’d lay in his crib staring up at the toy that his father managed to salvage from a garage sale a family was having. It was broken and chipped in some places but it was like a new toy to Simon. All he could do was stare at it, watch as it swung in a circular motion entrancing him with its patterns and chipped colors. Occasionally birds would come and sit on the crib’s rail watching the baby laying inside. His mother would leave the window open in case Simon needed air so he wouldn’t suffocate inside of the small room that he shared with his siblings. His cries of joy and wriggling would keep his siblings awake at night causing them to often glare at him in annoyance. They found their little brother quite annoying because he made so much noise. He was constantly curious grabbing at things and making gurgling noises, and his eyes were always flickering. They’d never stay still on one thing and the children didn’t like it at all.
When Simon was old enough to crawl, he would get into all sorts of things. He’d be everywhere even outside on the street sitting on his bottom and watching the people walk by. In his neighborhood, he became so well known that once his neighbors saw him on the street and realized his parents were at work and his siblings were at school, they’d take care of the baby only for his parents to come home and be scolded by most of the people in the neighborhood for being such bad parents. Sora, Simon’s father, would stay up some nights with his baby whenever it was time to feed him and talk to Simon as though he could understand. Though Simon’s eyes were focused on his father and he’d watch his lips move although he couldn’t understand a word he was saying. This continued for months on end until it became a usual thing. Simon would wake up and his father would be there waiting for him, it would be at least midnight while the two would sit in the kitchen basking in the glow of the candle between them and Sora would just talk.
He’d spill all of his problems onto the 2-year old baby who stared at him in wonder remaining a silent companion who occasionally made a noise when he was hungry only to drift back into sleep. Though one night while Sora talked, Simon actually spoke. “Dada.” Sora was taken aback and stared at his son before looking side to side trying to figure out if he was hallucinating from the fatigue. But as Simon repeated the word a smile formed on Sora’s face and all of his troubles seemed to melt away. He grabbed up the boy and held him close. How could a child at such a young age learn to speak when he couldn’t even comprehend a word let alone walk. But all of that didn’t matter, Simon understood him and recognized him as his father. Unaware to his father’s happiness, Simon curled into the man’s arms as he was taken to his mother. The two adults smiled at their baby and ran their fingers against his head cooing softly to him as he was whisked back into sleep.
The next few months that followed, Simon’s siblings and even his mother was trying to get the boy to speak. Slowly he picked up on a few words but couldn’t really form any coherent sentences and at times he seemed to drift away from the conversation and turn his head away. Eventually they let up on the talking and were satisfied with helping Simon learn to walk. At first it was frustrating, but Sora was convinced that his son would learn to walk. Years passed, and Simon grew smarter. At the age of three, he was able to walk. He learned how to eat when he turned five, and could speak very well. He was indept when it came to reading, and was intelligent almost like a prodigy. His parents were amazed with him but there was a few things that his siblings noticed about him. He was always curious. Even as their parents praised him causing sparks of jealousy to form, Simon never seemed at rest. He’d climb to the roof of their apartment building and gaze out at their little slum, gazing upwards at the sky and wonder how on Earth would he become something more.
Simon went to a prestigious school despite his upbringing because of his intellect. They decided despite the fact that he was nothing more than a slum child, he deserved to be here because of what he could do. Not because who he was. At the time Simon didn’t understand until all of the kids gave him dirty looks. They would look down at him and talk behind his back. Nonetheless, he felt lonely but gave them a clean smile and waved happily. This is what they hated about him. No matter how much they looked down upon him, he’d wave and smile back at them. Simon was curious and he could ignore their heated glares and their hushed voices. More focused on his future, he would often gaze back at his family and their sad living style and decided he would change it.
►DESCRIBE YOUR TEENAGE YEARS:
Though when Simon turned fifteen, that is when he first truly realized the meaning of how hard his work really meant.
Simon was at the highest of his class, his scores were excellent and after school he’d take time to go to his part-time jobs. Because he was in school, he was only allowed one part-time job but behind the officials back he took on two. He’d come home late at night; most of his siblings had graduated at this time and now it was only him and his family. His siblings having moved into bigger things and places abandoning their upbringing in the slums of Shibuya. His parents were older now, but they still had the energy to give him a cheerful smile and welcome him home. Though one night when Simon came home, he noticed a bag was sitting for him on the counter. Taking it in his hands, he founds that it was a VRMMORPG. It was true that Simon joined a club for these type of games and he developed a liking to them, but how could he have possibly afforded one? All of his money went towards his studies or to pay for his parent’s house.
For years, that Nerve Gear would sit on the shelf but he could never bring himself to get rid of it.
►DESCRIBE YOUR ADULT YEARS:
When he was ready, he moved out He moved out and left his parents with enough money to get them over for the month. Heading to Okinawa, he set himself up in a little house and worked at a college. But even then, that Nerve Gear followed him and along with it was a copy of a game. His mother gave him the game; having noticed that it was sent to their house since he registered to be a beta tester. Leaving it there and not playing it didn't seem right.
One look at SAO, and he knew he had to play it or risk regretting it for his entire life. Laying down upon his bed after a afternoon of grading papers, he made sure everything was right before shutting his eyes.

►SWORD ART ONLINE:
[/td][/tr]As his eyes opened in SAO, Simon was excited. The world was nothing like he imagined. He could move his body, he could feel hunger, he felt tired often, but it was wonderful. Excited with the phenomenon placed upon him, Simon advanced towards the outskirts of the beginner town. That was until he was transported to the square. When he was told about the challenge, to clear all 100 floors and beat the game he could only stare into the face of Akihiko Kayaba. He stared at that man, and he felt as though that man was staring back at him. Through the people who were freaking out, Simon calmly looked at down into his menu and typed in his alias. His new name.
White Rabbit.
A sad smile crossed his lips at the memory of his father who did all he could to be there for them. Curling his fingers into fists, he set off into the world of SAO.
Simon LeBeau -- prodigy, top of his class, loved by his parents, hated by his classmates, a child born out of the slums. No longer exists.
