POSITIVES [ ✔ ]

[ ✔ ] Keen- Lea is often quite agile. Her reflexes are fast and she usually finds the quickest way out of a situation. She is marked by intellectual quickness and acuity, she can think fast. Usually, her fastest way out of something is by using physical force, but when given the chance, she can be very cunning. Usually when she has her perverted outbursts, she is fast enough to hide it, but people catch on faster than she expects them to.

[ ✔ ] Audacious – There are times when you can challenge Lea to do something, and she will do it. She usually has more self-confidence when she is in her competitive mode. However, this may cause her to get a little bit out of hand sometimes. This doesn’t just apply physically though, sometimes she finds a little courage to say things she wouldn’t normally say and there are times she may say something she didn’t really mean to say. “I’m not a pervert, I promise!” she says, trying to get out of her usual “foot-in-mouth” moments.

“Come at me bro! I’ll give you a full-one if you wi-…wait please don’t think like that! It wasn’t perverted, I promise!”

[ ✔ ] intuition – Entering the world of SAO wasn’t the first time she learned to trust her instincts. Besides, her mother always taught her to trust her instincts and it has always worked. Trying to be perfect for her mother always did the trick, trying to do the right thing, learning how to be careful of what to say and do is something Lea practiced during the years. Especially now in SAO, Lea has to practice being careful, trusting people and taking initiative in her actions knowing that any bad step can lead to her death.

“Usually, when my gut tells me something, I go for it…that’s unless I’m hungry. Then I eat.”

[ ✔ ] Intellect – Lea is a self-taught person. Being a very pensive person, she learned most of the things she knows on her own, and knows that she can keep learning anything she wanted to if she tried. Being raised around technology does that, especially to Lea who is very “tech-savvy” She doesn’t necessarily enjoy studying, but she likes to know a little bit of everything. Lea is open-minded with everything she knows, and what she doesn’t know, she take the step forward to learn it. She also doesn’t like showing off her intellect, she prefers to act air-headed and dumb before showing her actual knowledge to strangers.

“So you think I’m not smart because of my breasts, eh? I can tell you everything there is to the MX34r-2 Model 55 piece by piece! I can give you a hands on, fu-..Wait, I wasn’t trying to be a pervert! I promise!”

[ ✔ ] Independent – Whenever Lea is alone, she finds ways to settle down on her own. She doesn’t mind being alone; rather, she likes being alone at times. She enjoys her own company and knows how to deal with her own problems, and when she needs to settle her own scores, she does it on her own. It’s hard to stop Lea when she needs to fix something on her own.

“I don’t need anyone. I can do this on my own.”

NEGATIVES [ ✘]

[ ✘ ] Opinionated – Being opinionated isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but when Lea feels like someone needs to hear the honest truth, she will say it, even if it hurts them. She can easily be empathetic with someone and understand how he or she feels, but she knows that sometimes, the truth needs to be heard.

“Sometimes, the truth hurts. Everyone needs some tough love at one point.”

[ ✘ ] Temperamental – Though Lea is a rational and nice person but when push comes to shove, she will get angry, and angry she will get. She sometimes loses her cool when someone constantly pushes her buttons, but she controls herself most of the time. She’s a bit of a “tsundere” when it comes to certain people, but hides it with aggression.

“Hey, I’m not a Tsundere! JUST DON’T PISS ME OFF WITH STUPIDITY! I try to be nice…I promise~”

[ ✘ ] Insecurities – Trying to be perfect isn’t easy, but Lea tries hard to make her mother and father happy. But Lea learned that sometimes it’s very hard to please everyone at once. To this day, Lea still hasn’t overcome this. She tries hard to please people, giving her poor sense of leadership. She is easily embarrassed at times, especially if she has a crush on someone and can retaliate quickly by being shy or showing affection through violence. When in peril, she quickly believes she is the cause of a problem and tries to take responsibility.

[ ✘ ] Stubborn – Many times Lea may come to a point where once she’s made her decision, that is what she is going to stick to no matter what anyone says to her. She doesn’t like people to try to convince her unless they have a really good reason to and most of the times she won’t listen. She’s also very stubborn when it comes to her emotional issues as well. All these insecurities at once have caused Lea’s complicated personality.

[ ✘ ] Actress – There are many sides to Lea. With her experience in the real world, she learned that being a good actress could get her away with anything. This is not necessarily a bad trait, but her acting has become her security blanket for hiding her true insecurities. She has confidence and shows it, but when her guard is down she can easily change to who she really is. She can easily pretend someone she’s not, and those who get to see her real side should consider themselves lucky.

Leara Vincent was born on July 24th, one of the hottest days of Sunny Los Angeles. Her mother, Karen Yeoun, who was a Korean-American supermodel and her father, Maurice Vincent, an engineer for technology consumer products, starting his own business. With her mother’s beauty and father’s beautiful blonde locks and green eyes, Baby Lea was the light of their world, hoping to mold her into someone successful. Most of Lea’s childhood consisted of educating and “training” for her future. Her mother spent most of her time taking her daughter to pageants, preparing her for the spotlight.

There was something peculiar about Lea though. She did enjoy the princess life with her mom taking her to ballet and teaching her the luxurious lifestyle, but Lea took an interest in what her father did. The Vincent household always consisted of the latest technology, since he was an inventor. Maurice spent most of his time inventing new products and displaying them on his new business that was booming to the consumer world. This was making him insanely rich, giving his family the best lifestyle he can afford. This gave baby Lea a lot of interest in what her father does. She would constantly ask questions and by age 6, she was helping her father build small consumer products and he would teach her everything she wanted to know.

When Lea turned 7, baby Phoebe was born. Nicknaming her “Bee”, Lea felt the pressure was off and her mother would not be so hard on her with her, but she was wrong. This was double work for Karen, because now she had two superstars in training.

In school, she was more of the tinkerer. She would always have more knowledge with technology than everyone else. While children and normal adults would use electronics to enjoy, Lea spent most of her time studying the insides of it, what made it work and how software comes to play. For this reason, she didn’t have many friends. She didn’t like to communicate whenever she was in her zone, but she was a social butterfly whenever she wanted to be, especially when her mother was around. She was quite popular due to her looks, which is exactly what her mother wanted. With her mother pressuring her to start a model career since she was able to walk, Lea was under a lot of pressure because Karen wants her daughter to be as good as she was when she was starting off as a super model.

Lea’s teenage life wasn’t exactly normal. With all her years of training and pressure from her mother, Lea was already a veteran to the modeling world. Her baby sister Bee was also under training by their mother, while Lea continued her modeling career and secret love for electronics. Lea was t0ravelling around the world to model and starting an acting career and possibly a singing career. Her father’s business became a full-grown corporation which expanded all over the world.

Her mother had received an invitation to bring her daughter to Tokyo’s largest fashion show and once they hit Tokyo, they were amazed. It was a whole new world for them and Lea loved every minute of it. Lea loved it for many different reasons than her mother though. Lea fell in love with Japan’s advanced technology, all the technology she wanted to see, Japan had it. Everything was foreign to her and she loved every minute of it. By the time she turned 14, she was fluent in Japanese and her father had exciting news for them: He was opening a corporate building in Japan and he wanted to take them with him. They were supposed to stay there for a few months and suddenly the trip extended.

Lea enrolled in a Japanese high school and she was instantly popular. The boys were drowning her with confessions and love letters, but Lea wasn’t ready for relationships. With her constantly busy life, she did not have time to be with boys, instead, she created a “Super Technology!” club where she and a few tech geek friends would build computers and create hacking programs. Her third year was the best time of her life. When she turned 18, she first learned of the new NERVE GEAR technology that was being built. Learning more about it, she was completely fascinated by it and asked her father to find every possible way to get her to “Beta” test. Finally getting her chance, Lea finally received her NERVE GEAR and invitation to the game “Sword Arts Online”. Playing the game was a completely new experience, a whole new world and something she completely emerged herself in.

This was something she kept from her mother though. She played beta testing whenever her mother was working, and now that her mother became her “manager” she was leading Lea into the “idol” business. This is when Lea decided to comply with her mother’s wishes, but she asked to change her identity as a model. She did not want her friends knowing her idol and modeling ways, even though most students already knew from her magazine spreads.

She became Ueda, Kaori. Lea would wear a long orange wig and she became Kaori. Kaori was a growing Idol and due to her blonde locks and green eyes, she became instantly popular. Singing in small concerts and performing in various morning shows, Kaori became a quick sensation, creating hit anime songs and becoming an instant role model for girls. This was constant pressure on Lea, and less time for her to play Sword Art Online. She was playing less and felt that she needed to leave her hidden tech life behind to fufill her mother’s wishes. She began to love the idea of becoming an idol, but she definitely missed her time behind a computer.

Upon graduating High School, Lea desperately wanted to go to a University to become an engineer, but her idol life started to become tiring and stressful. Her mother began to see her disinterest in the show business and decided to ease down on her a little bit. Her mother knew about her love for technology and decided to let her use the Nerve Gear for her 19th birthday. Excited, Lea decided to give Sword Arts Online another try, where her character still waited, ready to be played.

Lea was more than happy to be back online. She was ready to explore the world once more. She realized the game was already open and she was assisting a few new players on how to use basic commands. She didn’t tell them about her prior experience to the game, but she already had a few followers asking for advice.

Suddenly, they were warped to the Town of beginnings. The reaper presented itself as Kayaba Akihiko, whom Lea researched well. He explained the new rules to the game and Lea was shocked. It was a whirlwind of emotions for her. In a way, she was happy that she can finally live in a world where she can do whatever she wanted, and not live through the restrictions of her mother. On the other hand, she knew the deadly situation she was in, and how devastating it would be if something were to happen. She vowed to survive so she can see her family again.

Suddenly, when the entire speech was over, she notices that her facial features changed. She was back to her real self and there was a sudden panic of players. There was a lot of movement and she didn’t know what to do. She looks to her left and notices a younger girl looking towards her, but her small body was being pushed by her crowd…
