NIAN<<NAME>>Nian Henderson<<AGE>>20<<GENDER>>Male<<NATIONALITY>>American<<APPEARANCE>>link<<PERSONALITY>>
Positive
Open minded: Nian’s life experiences have usually started with misconceptions. The things people said were true or fact often turned out to be biased opinions, horrible stereotypes, or just a rumor. Because of this, he has learned to keep an open mind, to do his best to avoid prejudging something too harshly. He’ll try anything at least once before forming what he considers a real opinion on the subject, and even then he leaves room for it to change.
Dedicated: Once Nian has made his mind up about taking up a task, he does so with a doggish mentality. He’ll do all that he can to get the job done in the best way possible, although mostly this applies to his chores and homework. This also makes him the decent boxer that he is, because without the dedication to go through all his training without slacking he would never have won any of his fights.
Friendly: Overall he’s a pretty friendly guy. Talks to his classmates and neighbors, helps people when he sees them moving a couch or stuck on the side of the road. Not that he is foolish enough to run into a burning building to rescue someone, he isn’t a superhero after all, but he would be right there calling the fire department and looking for ways to keep the fire from spreading.
Negative
Naïve: Despite his experiences with people in the past, he still has an overall belief that people want to do the right thing, that no one wants to hurt anyone or steal their things. Unfortunately this is not the case. Because of his attitude, people have stolen things from him, threw him under the bus when it came to shifting the blame, and even made him do all the work for a project by manipulating his emotions.
Unconfident: Nian gets his confidence from preparation. That being said if he feels like he has not prepared enough for something he will often panic and undermine himself. His capabilities to deal with the situation might flop, or he won’t be able to show his strengths. Most of the time, the situation is done and over with before he realizes it, but sometimes he might actually see that he is better off than he thought.
Oblivious: Kind of goes hand in hand with naivety. Nian is horrible when it comes to detecting the emotional states of those around him, unless of course it is the most extreme of circumstances like violent anger or obvious bliss. This usually leads to him saying the wrong thing at the wrong time, or missing the signs when someone wants him to do something or shut up. A lot of missed opportunities have happened because of this, and he does not even realize it.

Rain<<HISTORY>>Nian is the only child of Marcus and Tina Henderson. He had a pretty good childhood. Going to school and making friends, spending a lot of quality time with his grandfather while his parents worked and going on vacations in the summer. He wasn’t by any means spoiled though.
His parents made sure that whatever was bought for him was deducted from his allowance which he had to work for starting at the age of seven years old. The only real memorable trauma from his preteen years was having his bike stolen from the school.
It was around this time that his grandfather started taking him to the gym where he trained his boxer. It was a relatively small building made small by the ring in the center of it, but to Nian it was one of the greatest places he’d ever been to.
At first he only did it because the older guys were doing it, just having fun jumping rope like they did and running because they ran. But after two years of exercising with them and keeping up, his grandfather insisted that he put the training to use and learn to defend himself.
So that was how he spent time after school, learning the basics of boxing and building on it with his gym mates. Besides boxing, he also enjoyed his high school life. Making friends and hanging out with them in-between all that was going on, it was a pretty good life. Roger, his best friend had gotten him into video games and took him through all the classics he had amassed over the years al the way up until the more current things.
He didn’t really play all those games, it would take an insane amount of time to do so, but whenever he got the chance he would indulge. This is how he got caught up in the anticipation for a worthy VRMMO.
After graduation, Nian continued his studies in collage. He decided that he would get his degree in physical training, and should his boxing career not take off, he would become a coach like his grandfather.
After another three fights, two of which he won, he was finally starting to gain a reputation in the boxing community as a prospect. Now some of the fights would be broadcast on TV and should he continue to do well he could even get on the same fight card before pay per view bouts. He was so busy with his training and school that he almost missed the announcement that Sword Art on line would be launching in a couple of months, just after his next fight.
It was amazing, far beyond anything he had ever seen before. Sword Art online was sure to become a multibillion dollar game, of that Nian was sure. The interface was amazing, the combat real time and responsive to his every thought of movement. Simply but he was having a blast, but he still had to leave, to return to the reality that was his life and start his training for the next fight. If only he could find the log out button.
It quickly became clear that this was not the average game when his avatar turned into his own face, and the increase in people unable to log out became apparent. No matter who he asked or what he did he just could not log out, and when the voice of the mysterious figure demanded that the 100th floor be cleared before anyone could leave he started to panic. He had just jumped online as soon as he got the game, no plans to meet up with anyone at all so unless by coincidence there was no one in this world that he knew.
With nothing but himself to rely on, Nian reasoned out a plan. He figured that the only way to make it out alive would be to stay close to town, gain experience battling the monsters and work on his craft which he so randomly picked as harvesting. He only hoped his body didn’t decay by the time he was able to return to it.SKILLS
