So here's what this site needs

I see a lot of assumptions and not a lot of facts here. Ideas have been proposed - various ideas, but nothing has been ultimately decided.

For Sword Arts,

We are not entirely canon to the story, but we have the Sword Art ranks set up with set power levels and at the present character levels and even monster levels, both a Rank C and Rank B Sword Art is simply far too powerful for this early on in the game compared to other players and c-levels. Kirito could continue to battle on floor one, but he had to wait until other floors were released to really increase his power level. Eventually he got too strong and the rewards received from fighting the monsters grew less and less. Going back to the Sword Arts, this is partially our fault in that some of the mods never expected the site to expand quite so quickly. Another issue was some bazaar moderators accepting it and never realizing. This was adjusted and the three players that have upgraded to Rank B and Rank C Sword Arts will be refunded.

For Armor and Weaponry,

The system is being changed regardless. There needs to be limits. It's not at all difficult for players to gain items and we wanted that so that players wouldn't have to struggle to get equipment that they want. If we were to go completely freeform, none of this would be a problem...but unfortunately, we do have levels and with those levels come levels in skills AND the floors. There is a limit to what a player can do until they are the next level. I'm not sure where you're deriving that the future c-level system will be punishing players, but that's not at all the case and even if we drastically change the system, it will correlate in some way to their previous c-level. I'm also one of the top players with a high amount of c-level, so believe me - I understand. I AM one of the ones that worked to get that far, AOE.

For Limits,

I find you're making assumptions more than giving facts. Yes, a lot of ideas have been thrown around lately and they have all been exactly that - ideas. And every game master also has their own ideas and ways they think the system should be run and we've been balancing the pros and cons of various systems. We're not ignoring you, but keep in mind there are a lot of other systems out there and a lot of other ideas from both staff and other members. We can't adopt every single system given to us. We are open to opinions and ideas and will take them into consideration, but that does not mean for sure that every member's point will be in the next set of patch notes. here is a reason why this has taken so long.

You honestly have no idea the time and work the staff members (both new and old) have put into the site to keep it going and in trying to figure out various systems that will work for both members and game masters. We care about this site and have been working hard to make it work. Those of us mods that still remain didn't think it was fair to give up after the work we put into this and the members that came over to this board.

Nisha and other players can earn their place at the top, as they already have. Seeing as how we have a storyline to advance through and it is also dependent on the release of new floors, we again will most likely have to implement a cap eventually so that players do not get too far ahead of the other floors we wish to release. While the floor is capped, that still allows for players to continue earning exp, col, etc. to be able to level up when the storyline does advance.

Furthermore, rewards are exactly that - rewards. They are not an obligation or a requirement, and many of the staff members grew really tired of the site mostly circling around that.

This is an RP, not a real MMO. We're not going to sit here for hours and count numbers. Although these systems can be fun, there needs to be a line drawn and balance in these systems. We're still early on in the game. I would hope some players can actually play the game to play and not have to worry about their level to efficiently play the game.

As for Stats,

I have to agree with Kurome in that the stat system could do more harm than good. The system uses more math than our present one and people will plan out their stats and become nearly unbeatable as a result. Stats have been thrown around in discussions before but a majority of us agreed that it would be more difficult to implement than it would help.

A system is being outlined and we have already determined a system for making levels more important than c-level. Furthermore, I've always said this...but players are always supposed to look at their weapon stat vs. their armor stat. Overall c-level is exactly that, overall. It is easy to look at the differences in the inventory.


As for DE topics,

We were already a step ahead of you. I believe I also mentioned this the other night in the chatbox. Back when Bunny was still around, it was already decided that for the future patch notes we would have DE-topics be monitored by mod members. It was even suggested that monsters might be controlled by moderators, but that's something else to be discussed. We are taking both unrealism and grinding seriously. We will not mindlessly kill people, but there will be consequences for some players' actions and we do want players to realize that main boss battles and DE-topics will have consequences and the possibility of death.


Let me be perfectly clear here that I will not keep arguing with you about this. I did not tell you to make a support ticket to make dialogue as you kept saying in the cbox. I told you to PM me, and you refused. I told you to make a support ticket because the cbox is not the place to start fights. It's supposed to be for casual talk. I'm open to hearing solutions but arguing for the sake of arguing is not something I will promote or participate in.
