Perform Skill question

PERFORMING.
Allows the user to play instruments very well. So long as the character can think up the proper tune, the game will automatically control the character to play it. The more complex the tune, the higher the skill must be. It's not necessary to have the Performing skill in order to play an instrument, though certainly even expert musicians in real life will end up making a lot more mistakes than they normally would if they chose not to take this skill.

I was wondering if since you just "Think the tune" can one instrument play any to for example

A violin playing the tune of a piano and vice versa.
