STRIDER<<NAME>>Nagi Vicante<<AGE>>20<<GENDER>>Male<<NATIONALITY>>Japanese Brazilian<<APPEARANCE>>Battle Attire<<PERSONALITY>>Nagi or rather 'Strider' these days is for lack of a better word a very creative individual. He enjoys various forms of planning and scheming alike. He's extremely confident in all of his abilities rarely if ever showing any kind of doubt in himself, as showing weakness where he grew up led to beatings. As most schemers are Nagi is manipulative to say the least he loves nothing more than tricking and controlling others inadvertently. Knowing this he isn't very forceful when it comes to his 'games' so to speak usually using his Charisma(tic) to talk others into doing what he wishes. Having grown up in a rather shanty neighborhood in Brazil Nagi had been known to sneak into other's homes and personal belongings, and by his own standards he was pretty good at it. He retains aspects of that Sly and selfish personality to this day. Despite his slightly Sadistic nature and his overly cautious persona Nagi has been shown to be a very decisive and a unpretentious individual, making many of the difficult choices he's forced to deal with seem relatively easy. All the while accepting people from all walks of life knowing that his own up until about 3 years ago wasn't very pretty.<<HISTORY>>Nagi was born of an affair. A well to do Japanese women, Akira Shimura was visiting Rio, Brazil. She was 24 when she took this trip to celebrate her college graduation. On her little vacation she met a slightly older Brazilian man who spoke no japanese. The two however managed to hit it off with a mutual understanding of English. The two quickly fell in love and as it tends to happen with young couples a child was soon on the way. The women in love canceled her flight back and decided to live in Rio with her destitute baby-daddy. They lived in a bad neighborhood barely having enough to make the rent Ms. Shimura wasn't really digging the whole 'poverty' vibe as of course she wasn't used to living within means coming from a fairly well to do family back home. So after giving birth to her child dubbing him Nagi she dropped the boy on the father and split. That was the end of that story or so she thought.
We'll skip 10 or so years later. Our now 36 year old father who we'll refer to as Niolo Vicante wasn't doing too well. They were still destitute, but like a good father somehow he managed to provide for his son making sure the boy went to school recieved good grades, and made sure he was eating well all the while working 3 jobs two of them being a bit 'dishonest' so to speak. Nagi didn't get along with the other kids of his neighborhood or at school the japanese were few and far between in Rio thus so he was picked on constantly for his ethnicity and his family's status. Knowing his son had always been a bit 'colder' and more 'realistic' than most his age Niolo almost desperately tried to keep his son from the dark path he seemed inclined to take. Niolo always told Nagi to disregard what the others say, and always stay humble. Like a good son Nagi nodded and agreed with his father focusing on his schooling until he was about 14.
By this point in his life Nagi knew how to deal with bullies, he'd been in a few scrapes and he wasn't one to mess with, he knew how to keep his cool and most importantly he'd learned how to deal with people without having to get his own hands dirty, in fact over the last year it'd become a pretty big hobby of his. Things were going pretty well for Nagi at this point he felt like he was finally coming into his own he'd even made a couple of acquaintances who prided themselves on their sticky fingers. Nagi didn't necessarily like these people, but he found what they did exhilarating. Planning various robberies and heists as well as the execution he quickly became enticed with these acts. His father noticed the change in his sons demeanor simply thinking it was a phase and soon he'd grow out of it.
Two years later Nagi unfortunately hadn't grown out of this phase and his father was soon to pay the price. Nagi had become quite proficient in the arts of pilfering in the last two years. He'd made countless escapes along with changing possies of people. He was beginning to form a bit of a reputation in his little corner of the world Eventually shadier people either wanted him to join up with them or they wanted him dead. Nagi shrugged off their threats and warnings until it was too late leaving his father to pay the price of his bad decisions. It was a warm spring day after classes when he went home to see his apartment a complete wreck and his father beaten half to death. The only person he really cared about was hurting because of him.
During Niolo's time in the hospital Nagi explained his future plans to keep the aging father safe which were to presently leave and move deeper into the city so Niolo could live safely. He was smart and good with his hands so getting a job would be relatively easy for the boy he would however have to drop out of school which was something his father wasn't having. It took awhile but the old man came up with his plan of action it required a serious favor though. Niolo called the women who'd left him almost 17 years ago for a single request,to take their child and raise him properly in japan. Akira wanted no part in the child's upbringing, but his step father, a upper class business owner who happened to be impotent heard the dilemma and accepted the proposal for the woman despite how awkward it would be. Over the next two weeks Nagi was sent off to Japan where he'd continue his schooling and hopefully take over his step father's business when the man, whom we'll dub Akahashi Senjiro wished to retire.
The next two and a half years passed quickly, During his first year in Japan Nagi wasn't enrolled in any school, he was given a private tutor and strictly taught Japanese and Japanese alone. At this accelerated pace and seeing as it was the only 'class' he took by the end of the year Nagi had a pretty good understanding of the language, in fact he understood it about half as well as he understood Portuguese. the next year he was enrolled into a private catholic school, where people were simply fascinated by him coming from Brazil. He was able to keep up with his work and made it through the years pretty easily, though he still hadn't dropped his colder habits unbeknownst to his mother or step father. He graduated from private school by the end of that year and was planning to head off to Tokyo U in January he was to major in Business. As a late graduation gift the red haired Brazilian was given a VR helmet by his step father and a copy of the new hit game Sword Art Online on its release day. Upon activating the game he was trapped in this new world. Surprisingly Nagi wasn't mad by this change of events he was actually pretty excited by the concept.SKILLS
