Logan<<NAME>>Takara Aoki<<AGE>>12<<GENDER>>Female<<NATIONALITY>>Japanese-British<<APPEARANCE>>Takara’s about average height for her age, standing at just under five feet and weighing about ninety pounds (59 inches and 41 kilograms), with long brown hair done up in pigtails and big brown eyes. She’s pretty fit, but there’s still a chubbiness to her features that marks her as still a child. While she wanted to get her ear pierced, her parents wouldn’t allow it, so she has no piercings or tattoos of any kind. Picture<<PERSONALITY>>While Takara can be quite friendly towards those she knows, she’s also very shy when it comes to strangers, especially now that she’s trapped with a whole bunch of them. Always a curious child, she’s keen to explore this new world as much as she can, but is both ignorant to the dangers exploration holds and naïve in regard to her feelings towards fellow players. Despite her often energetic approach to her new life, she’s still quite overwhelmed by the situation, and will sometimes turn toisolation in order to try and cope with everything. Even during the tough times, she projects a happy image, trying to show everyone that she’s fine and willing to do all she can to help clear the game. Takara also holds a strong belief that everyone is fighting to escape and get home, not realizing that some people have other goals. As such, she’s determined to do her best, especially since she wants to be independent and not be coddled like some of the other children in the game.<<HISTORY>>
While she was born in Japan to Japanese parents, she had spent most of her short life in Britain, only returning to her birthplace during the summer to visit relatives. Takara grew up learning both Japanese and English, and her parents encouraged her to be proficient in both languages as much as possible. Her twin brothers Kenta and Kohaku were born the year after her, and she quickly adopted to the role of older sister. Growing up in the British countryside was tough sometimes, since they were the only Japanese family in the community, but she did her best to fit in and take care of her younger brothers, getting in to trouble with them and standing up for them if they were teased by the younger children.
Despite hanging around boys all the time, Takara didn’t entirely fit the image of a tomboy. She always kept her hair long and liked to wear bright colours even if her clothes got smeared with mud. Cooking and was another thing she began to do as soon as her mother allowed, although she was usually limited to helping with the baking. Due to their father working for the British wing of a gaming company, all three children quickly gained an interest in video games, their rooms becoming filled with various second-hand gaming systems and computers. As soon as Takara heard about Sword Art Online, she knew she had to play it, and eventually convinced her parents to buy it for her as an early Christmas gift. Although her brothers complained, she knew they were excited for her, and she became determined to impress them if she could.
Takara logged on as soon as she could, and passed the first few hours becoming familiar with how the game worked and even killing a few monsters. Takara had chosen to play as a teenage boy in an effort to bypass the disrespect female players still got online, and to hide how young she actually was. Then everything changed. Trapped? Death was permanent? It couldn’t be real, it just couldn’t be. But she was indeed a little girl again, trapped with far too many strangers. Takara broke down. With tears streaming down her face, she joined the crowd of people by the edge of the first floor, watching silently as another player jumped into the endless sky below. Confirmation of his death came soon after. She was overcome with the weight of maybe never seeing her family again, and had almost decided to jump as well when an older player pulled her away from the edge, telling her not to give up. In a daze, she followed the player to an inn and tried to figure out what to do next.
Eventually, after a few days of terror and confusion, Takara decided that she had to live. So she might be a bit too young to join the ranks of players who would eventually clear the game, but that didn’t mean she was useless. She kind of knew how to cook, and there were other skills she could learn that were sure to be of some benefit to the other players. Now with an idea of what to do, Takara set out to work on her skills and see what she could do to support the hardcore fighters.SKILLS
