(+) Intellectual – “Spell Book Online would have been a better idea, indeed. But perhaps there's more secrets to this world than we can see...”
(+) Strategic – “With enemies to the north and reinforcements to the south... we should head south. Obviously.”
(+) Elegant - “It may be a game, but it's still another world. You have to respect your image as well.”
(+) Perceptive – “Well, there's a bunch of strategies used most commonly by these kinds of monsters. It would benefit you to study them carefully.”
(+) Calm – “Too calm, you say? Well, if you don't keep yourselves composed, then it's not going to be the monsters that will do you in.”
NEGATIVE
(-) Introverted - “I admit, making this a game where you have to actually talk to the NPCs is a little tiring...”
(-) Cautious – “You don't expect to win with these odds, do you?”
(-) Independent – “Perhaps I should solo this quest. Having another player with me might weigh the quest down...”
(-) Snide – “Don't worry, look at how much skin your armor shows. In RPGs like this, that definitely translates to defensive power no matter how you look at it.”
(-) Picky – “No, I'm not going to wear this armor. Who do you take me for?'”
LIKES
(➚) Reading – “I actually prefer manga a little over novels. There are certain differences gained by a change of medium.”
(➚) Writing stories – “If it's an interesting story, it'll be accepted. Whether it'll get read, is a whole different situation.”
(➚) Games – “I wonder if there's a Tetris minigame somewhere in this world...”
(➚) Drawing – “Let's make it a portrait. You can hang it up in your room and bask in your youthly beauty for decades to come.”
(➚) Tailoring – “Although, this game makes it a little too streamlined for my liking.”
(➚) Ghosts – “Ghost stories are pretty intriguing. I do like to read more about them.”
DISLIKES
(➘) Insects – “Okay. Why is it that every game has a giant spider boss somewhere? Is there an overabundance of insect prey?”
(➘) Sour Foods – “Spicy foods are fine. On the other hand, sour foods make you want to wash out your tongue.”
(➘) Misfortune – “Oh look, the omikuji says <Horrible Misfortune>. I think I'll just keep it.”
(➘) Cheaters – “I don't mind cheating with your own rules if that's what you want.”
(➘) Futility – “No need to continue. You might as well surrender right now.”
(➘) Warm Weather – “I'd probably get a parasol in real life, but it probably wouldn't make a difference here.”

Possibly due to having an older brother who liked retro games, she also frequently played many classics as well. Touya spent a fairly average childhood in the Shibuya District of Tokyo, and naturally grew up accustomed to the bustling nature of the city. Even at the age of 6, she was roaming the big city by herself, often exploring her way around. But perhaps being exposed to this sort of thing in her early childhood made her prefer a quieter life.
Her teenage years were essentially immersed in the academics. She was taught English ever since she started school by a British tutor, and spent about two years in Britain from 12 to 13. Upon returning to Japan, her parents, both company workers for a game-related company, had been assigned to the Nagoya branch of the department. It was by no surprise that she ended up moving as well and soon started to attend its local high school. Together with three of her newly-made friends, she helped to form the Locked Room Club, a literary group whose specialty was in writing mystery novels. Over the months, they tackled competitions and contests throughout the nation.
Their latest achievement was through an online contest, where their combined collaborations managed to earn themselves 1st place, beating out other seasoned veteran novelists. The story was published in stores nationwide, causing the four club members to gain increasing fame. Only a month after the novel had been circulated throughout Japan, the members of the Locked Room Club were invited to an awards ceremony.
However, one week before the awards ceremony and on the day of her birthday, it would appear that the father of one of her friends had bought the four teens a certain present for their accomplishment. It was apparently the new Nerve Gear virtual reality software and a single copy of Sword Art Online, a game which had sold out within hours of its release. It was a much discussed game among the four and Touya honestly didn't think she would have gotten a chance to play at all. Therefore, she would try the game out and hopefully be able to meet the others into this new world.
"Haha, well there goes the rest of my childhood. If I don't die, I might have to spend a few years catching up in the real life afterward."
In contrast to some of the other players who may have gotten locked in this game, Touya tried to approach the situation while staying as calm as possible. She knew that the moment she lost her cool, it was going to be a very difficult journey ahead of her. For the time being, she would need to get used to this battle system. After all, it was an RPG. She'd spent plenty of time in other games grinding, so grinding in this game would most likely allow her to stay alive longer.
But she had other thoughts in her mind too. If all 4 members of the Locked Room Club had received this game, then they were most likely trapped here as well. She would need to find them in order to decide how they would attempt to escape this world.SKILLS
